2 Solar Chargers Tested | Solar Chargers

Do watts really matter when it comes to solar chargers? How well do solar-powered battery banks work in the Sun versus at night and how well do these charge and low sunlight these questions and many more will be answered in this video.

So let’s. Get to it now I shot this in the middle of summer in June, in Syracuse New York. For my first test, I waited till I had a perfectly sunny day with zero clouds from noon until three o’clock. I then drained the battery on my iPhone 7 plus down to 29 %, then turned on airplane mode and plugged it into each charger.

Until I hit 30 % once the timer was up, I ran out quickly pulled the cord and recorded the ending charge after each brand. I brought the battery down to 29 %. This test actually took me about two weeks from June 10th about the 25th 26th.

I just had to wait for a perfectly cloudless day from noon to 3:00 to match the same setting as the other brands. Disolves solar bank for $ 15 had a 4 % gain Digital Kingdom solar bank for $ 19 had a 9 percent gain.

F cans, Solar Bank for $ 26 had an 8 percent gain. He scenes solar charger for $ 30, had a 3 percent gain blitz, wools solar charger for $ 37 had a 4 percent gain flex solar for $ 44. Had an 8 percent gain.

Winnie was son for $ 50. Had a 6 percent gain anchors power port light for $ 60, had an 11 percent gain out XE for $ 63, had a 7 percent gain goal. Zero Nomad 7 plus $ 400 had a 6 percent gain solar camp for 130 dollars.

Had a 10 percent gain. Gilt solar paper for 148 dollars had a four percent game overall, the top three brands with the highest charge, our anchor solar camp and digital Kingdom. So question one answered: what’s? Really don’t matter? That much solar camp is a six watt charger and was only 1 % less than anchor, which is a 15 watt charger.

The biggest charger at 28 watts didn’t even make it to the top 5. Now, if you’d like to check out the prices to any of these chargers, I’ll. Have the links posted in the description? I was curious if the Sun made a difference with the four solar battery banks.

So, following the same method as before, I went to only room in my house with zero sunlight and ran another 15 minute test. Dissolves battery bank, for some reason, jump from four percent gain in the Sun to 14.

Without digital Kingdom stayed the same with nine percent in the Sun, and nine in the dark. F can’t had a gain of eight in the Sun and fifteen. In the dark and out XE had a seven percent gain in the Sun and 14 percent in the dark and question two answered.

The Sun has a negative effect on charging all, except for digital Kingdom, which stayed the same now. If you have any ideas as to why this is the case feel free to leave me a comment below, I was curious that the cold would have an effect on charge time.

So after 24 hours in my freezer, I took them out one by one and ran a 5 minute test under full Sun around noon. It was very warm outside, which is why I only ran such a short time. I wanted to see how they would function when it was still cold.

Ankur came out on top with a 7 percent gain followed by dissolve and F cam with five percent and blitz, Wolfe and flex solar with 4 percent. The next day was cloudy, so I decided to quickly plug in each charger to see if they still worked.

The only one that struggled to keep a constant charge for 10 seconds was flex solar. Now, for the remainder of the video, I only used the solar chargers since the solar battery banks only charge with the internal battery, not the Sun.

I wanted to know what types of items you could charge under partly cloudy skies. Once the charging light came on and the fan running I quickly switched out for a different brand before the weather changed.

I was surprised to find out that anchor who has been leading all the tests so far was the only brand not able to charge the flashlight. I was curious how well they would perform in low-light. So for this test, I waited until 7 o’clock in the evening on a clear day and ran a 5 minute test.

Now the battery had to register a full percent or I counted it as zero. I’ve, also posted the time I started each brand as well. This actually took me about two to three days to film. I only film from 7 to 8 o’clock.

I felt after 8 o’clock. It was just too dark and the circumstances had changed too much. Anger and solar camp were the only ones that reached 2 percent in 5 minutes blitzwolfer flex, solar yoke all had 1 % gain.

He’s seen and when he was Sun had zero and gold. Zero had negative 1. Now for all you spec and feature people out there here’s. What each brand has to offer dissolve 500 mAh battery bank comes with the hook.
